School Dance Group

In autumn 2012 a new line-up of the Dance Group from Szkoła Podstawowa nr 2 w Leżajsku (Leżajsk Primary School No. 2) started practising the following dances: cracovienne, polonaise, polka. Over the last two years they made appearances at various school events, among others: “School Day”, Leżajsk Comenius project teachers’ session. 

The folk dance classes were aimed at children aged 6–9 and designed to develop their dancing skills, make them become familiar with how to work in a team properly as well as improve their strength, flexibility and coordination.

"The School Day" (2014)

Another “The School Day” celebration was held in Szkoła Podstawowa nr 2 w Leżajsku (Leżajsk Primary School No. 2) on the second Saturday of June 2014. It referred to one of the project assumptions – making the school environment a friendly place – and its key objective was to integrate the school community – the teaching staff, the pupils and their parents. 

The event’s activities included, among others: the pupils’ performances, quizzes for mixed teams of children and adults, tours of the school building, tasting healthy food.
