In autumn 2012 a
new line-up of the Dance Group from Szkoła Podstawowa nr 2 w Leżajsku (Leżajsk
Primary School No. 2) started practising the following dances:
cracovienne, polonaise, polka. Over the last two years they made appearances at
various school events, among others: “School Day”, Leżajsk Comenius project
teachers’ session.
The folk dance
classes were aimed at children aged 6–9 and designed to develop their dancing
skills, make them become familiar with how to work in a team properly as well as improve their strength, flexibility and coordination.
