In February 2013 the second project teachers’ session
was held in Pontevedra. During the meeting the representatives of the partner
schools made the evaluation of some actions done since November 2012 (conducting
a questionnaire on the pupils’ lifestyles and the assessment of its results; exchanging
letters by papermail between the pupils of the partner schools, making booklets
and PowerPoint presentations on what people eat on some special days typical of
its own country and sending them to all the other partner schools to be used
during classes; carrying out a survey on the pupils’ favourite food) and made
arrangements for the coming months (working out and conducting a questionnaire
on how the pupils relax; launching a multilayered programme promoting fitness
and a healthy lifestyle).

Apart from being involved in the activities directly
connected with the implementation of the project assumptions the teachers
participating in the session had the opportunity to get to know what Spain’s
educational system is like (tours of primary and secondary schools, a visit to
a teachers’ training centre, a meeting with the Mayor of Pontevedra) and to
deepen their knowledge about Galicia (touring such places worth seeing as
Pontevedra, Santiago de Compostela, A Lanzada, Combarro).
