At the end of November 2012 the sixth graders from Leżajsk Primary
School No. 2 prepared a questionnaire template (in English) concerning school
children’s food preferences. The pupils of each institution involved in the
project filled in the questionnaire and then sent the outcome of the survey to
all the other partner schools to be used during classes.
A PowerPoint presentation (Favourite food hitlist) based on the results of the task carried
out in the Leżajsk school was placed on slideshare.net.
Based on the picks taken by the
pupils from eight countries an international culinary hitlist was drawn up, which is available in the form of a multimedia presentation
(Our favourite food) on
slideshare.net.
Performing the task was a great opportunity for the pupils
to express their likes, get to know food preferences of their peers from other
countries, adopt proper nourishing habits as well as improve their language and
ICT abilities. The results of the survey received from the partner schools were used as
teaching aids, mostly during Citizenship, Science (Biology) and English
lessons.
